  • What is capture the flag?

    Capture the Flag (CTF) in computer security is an exercise in which "flags" are secretly hidden in purposefully-vulnerable programs or websites. It can either be for competitive or educational purposes.

  • Do I need to be a cybersecurity student to play?

    Nope! We encourage everyone from all background to give it a try, see if you enjoy it! All skill levels are welcome.

  • What is C0UG4R5 CTF?

    C0UG4R5 CTF is a CTF competition being hosted by California State University San Marcos Cybersecurity Club. C0UG4R5 CTF is a solo competition that tests individual students cybersecurity knowledge. Our goal is to expand the cybersecurity community by hosting this CTF for our peers.

  • How do I play?

    To play all you need to do is register with your student email and get ready! Challenges will open up when the countdown on our homepage hits zero. You will have ~30 hours to complete as many challenges as possible; highest score wins! Join our discord for latest information and maybe even a free flag ;)
